Maxine has had a prolific run of top quality television dramas in recent years; BLACK MIRROR, THREE GIRLS, SILK, CRIMINAL JUSTICE, THE VILLAGE, HANCOCK & JOAN, SHAMELESS. Maxine took the title role in HAMLET at the Manchester Royal Exchange in a “radical reimagining” of William Shakespeare's play. She has returned to the Exchange to play Blanche in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE and Winnie in Samuel Beckett’s HAPPY DAYS. Recent film credits include THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING and FUNNY COW which premiered at last year’s London Film Festival. She will next be seen in Mike Leigh’s upcoming period drama PETERLOO, independent British feature GWEN and Hulu/Channel 4 comedy THE BISEXUAL opposite Desiree Akhavan.
